Denial is not just a river in Egypt

Brilliant at Breakfast notes that this administration and its supports seem incapable of admitting it when they are wrong--and they are wrong a lot. The policy seems to be deny, deny, and when that doesn't work, deny some more.
Well, at least some Republicans have finally realized that even though they're the majority in Congress, they're still going to need *some* Democratic support if they want to get that ridiculous social security plan passed...meaning they might actually have to *change* the plan a tiny bit.
Tom Delay, though, is just as stubborn as ever, claiming that the liberal media is trying to embarrass him. Just like we tried to embarrass the Republicans with that fake Terri Schiavo memo, right? Except that that turned out to be a *real* memo that a *Republican* staffer wrote. The media does not need to waste its time with a campaign to embarrass Republicans when Republicans are pretty good at doing it for themselves. What the hell is this about a pending law in Florida, that will allow anybody who feels "threatened", whatever that means, to shoot first, ask questions later? (update) And even Bush doesn't support (at least not publically!) Tom Delay's arguments against the judiciary.
The Republicans can deny it all they want, but numbers don't lie: approval ratings are down for both Bush and Congress.

Exactly which liberal media was trying to embarrass him? If he meant TV, then I'm sorry I hardly see any liberal media on TV. CNN and MSNBC, CBS they try their best either to stay neutral or praise rather subtlely the conservative view points.

True. Fox news is probably too liberal for him.
