Breaking News: we're not doing so well in Iraq

What's crossing the AP wires? Same old, same old: a story about how terribly we're doing in Iraq, immediatly followed by the President talking about how spendidly everything is going in Iraq. I usually don't post on it; I stopped finding it amusing weeks ago.
Looks like the press is calling him on it: Bush's optimism on Iraq is debated. It's now been acknowledged that even if Iraq turns out okay, we're still going to have to be in there for at least another year.

I don't think I can take another year of this crap.

In other news, our economic growth is on track--according to Bush. Actually the economy really is going great..if you are rich. And by rich I mean "filthy fucking rich". I don't mean your neighbor with the schweet car, I mean Bill Gates. I'm not being snarky here. It says right in the New York times: the rich have been getting richer, and the rest of us have been getting poorer.

Canada? Bor-ring. *Everybody* is moving to Canada.

I'm thinking Costa Rica. There's enough McDonalds so that I don't get too homesick, but I know there isn't going to be any military nonsense because they haven't even got a military.

Come on, let's all sing the Bushworld national anthem:

Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of pure imagination...

Everything's great with rose-tinted glasses!

He's not seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses. That man is wearing a damn blindfold.
