They're only spying on Al Qaida, eh?

(Or, the reason you need to get a goddamn warrant before you spy on somebody.)

Even if the President had only the best intentions when he loosened spying restrictions, allowing warrantless searches is a terrible idea. Because while the President may have had good intentions, there's going to be somebody in the NSA or the FBI who takes it too far.
The FBI and other government organizations have been spying on surveilling Georgia vegans and other citizens unconstitutionally. It's vegan protesters today, but who knows who it could be tomorrow?

If the vegans retaliated by throwing cucumbers at Scott McClellan, the administration would probably refer to it as Biological Warfare and call Jack Bauer.
