My generation
Okay, this isn't as depressing as insurance companies screwing Katrina victims, but it's still goddamned depressing. According to a recent study, 50% of college students can't analyze a newspaper story.
Now, I know tons of people my age who can't even figure out how a washing machine works, but how hard is it to analyze a newspaper? How can somebody get all the way through high school and not be able to do that? It boggles the mind.
Before you go ripping on my generation, read the rest of the article. The literacy rates for college students may be pathetic, but they're still higher than that of the general population.
