The Big List of GOP Contradictions, part II

I think it's time that I update The Big List of GOP Contradictions. What They Say vs What They Do.
(This list is NOT about all Republicans in general. Joe Republican probably believes in things like fiscal responsibility, family values, etc...it's his Senator that doesn't.)

I could roll with the GOP if they actually supported their moral positions with something besides rhetoric. Anybody can *talk*, son. Talk is cheap.

Bad: Bill Clinton--he got blowjobs in the oval office!
Good: Tom Delay--he believes in changing ethics rules to dodge criticism.

Good: Democracy in Iraq. Voting in Iraq.
Bad: Fixing the voting system in America

Good: "Freedom"
Bad: Freedom

Good: free speech
Bad: the right to filibuster

Good: the American government
Bad: the Judiciary. You know, like 1/3rd of our government?

Good: fighting AIDS
Good: promoting the use of ineffective abstinence education to fight it.

Good: fighting terrorism
Good: fiscal responsibility
..and yet: much of the money we've allocated for fighting terrorism hasn't been spent.

Good: fair and balanced
Better: making the news say what you want it to say. (Bush admits, condones putting out political advertisments disguised as news reports)

Good: gay prostitutes (Jeff Gannon)
Bad: Gay marriage.

Good: fetuses
Bad: money to give prenatal care for fetuses

Good: babies
Bad: poor people's babies.

Good: Terri Schiavo
Bad: Malpractice money that kept Terri Schiavo alive in the first place.

Good: The Iraq War
Bad: veterans of previous American wars

Good: education
Bad: science.
Bad: paying for Bush's own Head Start program

Bad: teen pregnancy
Good: abstinence education.
Bad: teaching teens about birth control that actually works.

Good: tax cuts for all!
Bad: paying for the tax cuts.
Bad: america's workers.

originally posted 3-21 and updated periodically since then.

Nice work. Way to skewer those thugs on their endless hypocrisy.

Can't argue with that. He tried to claim that oral sex isn't really sex, but at least his people didn't change the rules to avoid punishment. He didn't try to pass a "BJs don't count" amendment, you know?

good: iPods
bad: Bush's selection of music on his iPod

Agitprop requests your suggestions for the Presidential iPod Commission. It’s your patriotic duty to serve America by giving the President good music!
