Press Conference

Holy shit, Bush is holding a live press conference at 8:30 tonight!

Wait, is this how far we've sank? We get excited because the president is *doing his goddamn job* for a change? Yes, I think that the president owes us more than one live press conference. Call me crazy, but I also think that the press conferences shouldn't have fake reporters asking easy questions.

Oh, and looks like I've lost my bet: the army is coming out with a new manual about proper interrogation techniques. No nevermind, I haven't lost my bet. Because you know what? Nothing is going to happen to you if you don't follow these guidelines.
(Seriamente, I am glad that this is all put in writing, and especially glad that interrogators will have to undergo *training*, you know. This um, makes me wonder what it was like before. Did we even have a manual?)

Sweet, delicious irony: I have a prior engagement and will be unable to watch Bush's press conference tonight. Tell me how it goes, 'k?

I can hardly listen to his speeches. I get about halfway through and I'm shouting curses at the television.

So you don't have to watch tonight's press conference I will summarize Bush's three main points for you:

"We're makin' progress"
"We've got some tough issues to tackle"
"It's hard work"

Real reporters and real questions are not allowed, sorry.

who am I kidding? It's not like he ever answers the real questions anyway.

I just...can't believe that he's still the president.

Agitprop: Awesome answers :):). Yeah, now that I'm going over the answers he usually gives in my mind, I'm finding that you are very right. Indeed he keeps on repeating all those three points over and over again. I'm trying to think what Rumsfield says. I know he also keeps on reapeating same points again and again to whatever questions thrown to him. But, I've so long stopped watching Rumsfield that I can't remember.

Bravo Agitprop - you nailed 'em!

I thought of you during the debate...exactly what you said.

I guess I nailed those three huh? My favorite is when Bush said "I'm not a lawyer" and "I'm not an economist". There's some real truth in those statements considering he doesn't know a thing about law or the economy.
