A winsome smile

Whenever I miss a day, something really cool happens, like a mug shot of Tom Delay. Christ, look at that smile. That's not a mug shot, that's an ad for Crest Whitestrips. My theory: Delay is being sponsored by Crest. The Democrats think he smiled like that to foil the rapidly-growing campaign against him--no, Tom Delay is just trying to raise some money to pay his legal costs.

Tom Delay is cocky. These guys are just heartless: today, 46 senators voted against helping the poor pay for heating this winter. This is the second time this month that the bill has come up, and this is the second time it's been voted down. This kind of program is not unprecedented--we did it last year. Now, I admire these guys for wanting to reduce the poverty level, but this isn't the way to do it.
