J.C., I take one day off and look what happens.

* Rumsfeld is warning Iraqis to watch out for "government corruption and civil turbulence", as well as political "cronyism" and partisan purges. Yes, the government shouldn't tolerate corruption. Wait, does he mean the Iraqi government or the American government?

Quick followup on Tuesday's post: 1,150 participants in the day of "truth". It's not much, but it's a start. Conservatives have been oppressed for hundreds of years. Besides controlling the federal courts, the presidency, and both sides of Congress, they have no voice. Now, finally, after so much struggle, the Conservative minority will be heard.

* Speaking of silliness, Iran's leader wants you to know that he didn't shake hands with Moshe Katsav.
* Lighters are banned from airplanes, but matchbooks are still a-ok. You can have up to four matchbooks on the plane...why the hell would you need that many matchbooks? Who smokes that much?
* I learned something new today: Mormons believe that you can be baptised after you die. Even if you didn't want to be baptised, on account that you were JEWISH and all.
To do list:
1. Get a living will so that Tom Delay can't use me as a political prop.
2. Specify in my normal will that I am to be cremated and scattered into the sea so that I don't get converted to Mormonism against my will!
They decided in 1995 that this was no longer an official policy (previously they'd "converted" thousands of holocaust victims), but some people still do it.
