The most exciting thing to happen in a library, ever

Another group of people who hate the PATRIOT ACT (out of like, five million): librarians. A library, with the help of the ACLU, was suing Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and FBI Director Robert Mueller for using the PATRIOT Act to violate the Constitution.

So what did the FBI do? It put a gag order on the library--really!--to keep them from talking about the case. The suit is continuing, though now the library is also claiming that the gag order was also unconstitutional.

Encouraging news.
What's really interesting, though, is that your link was to a Reuters article.
I'll bet that if the library can afford it, the case will probably make it all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, 'cause this is something the feds won't give up on.

My gawd that would be schweet. Even if the library lost, if it went to the Supreme Court it would get a lot of publicity, maybe make people realize what this Patriot act is all about.

Let's just set up a series of internet cafes with a theme something like :"Your Terrorism Planning Center", or something.
